September 2024 – Following the worldwide launch of Automobili Lamborghini Surfaces and the Gemini series from the twO by Laminam brand – the world’s thinnest revolutionary surfaces – Laminam now presents Slate, the new 2 mm thick collection that pays homage to the grandeur of natural materials – lively and proud – and their essential dialogue with the light entering living spaces.
Two millimeters to change the game
Over the past year, Laminam’s tireless technological research has led to an unparalleled innovation: ceramic surfaces just 2 mm thick, for which Laminam has recently filed a patent. The twO by Laminam slabs, featuring a three-dimensional structure, remain extremely thin and light. This choice focuses on sustainability, as the slim format – just 2 mm thick – allows for the use of less raw material and optimises the entire product lifecycle, positively impacting the environment throughout the production chain.
Today, the twO by Laminam range of surfaces is further enriched by the intimate personality of Slate, a collection inspired by the North American natural stone of the same name, designed to create infinitely versatile, varied, and original design schemes.
Five colours for a design wedded to quiet luxury
Slate reveals its most authentic features thanks to a sophisticated, unmistakable, and technologically advanced surface structure, offering a glamorous yet minimalist style. Perfectly balanced between chromatic intensity and elegance, the Slate collection showcases the truest side of a light, understated finesse, where naturalness becomes a life philosophy.
Alaska, Amazzonia, Ankara, Burgundy, and Vulcano: bold, on-trend shades that speak a language infused with clean, primal lines. These colours harmonise with the shades of the Gemini series, the progenitor of the twO by Laminam brand, creating a deep and continuous communion between humans and nature for design aspirations with a strong textural essence, focused on sustainability.
New horizons for Gemini
After the success at Salone del Mobile 2024, Laminam’s creative spark once again comes to the fore, expanding Gemini’s range of applications and further demonstrating an R&D department committed to developing innovative solutions that set the company apart in the porcelain surfaces market.
Five colours in the range – Acero, Muschio, Pelle, Luce, and Grano – are now available in 1620×3240 mm Full Size format and 12+ thickness. In addition to being ideal for walls, Gemini is also suitable for interior design and furnishing elements such as tables, kitchen, and bathroom countertops.
Among the innovations involving twO by Laminam Gemini surfaces is a brand-new modular decorative element, Keyboard, available in seven colours from the series in a 333×200 mm format. Keyboard completes Laminam’s offering both technically and aesthetically for architecture (kitchen walls, bathrooms, showers, backsplashes) and interior furnishings (door and drawer fronts). The name derives from the combination of very thin 30×200 mm strips reminiscent of a piano keyboard.
The range also expands with the I Naturali collection, which now includes Calacatta Viola, a surface capturing the essence of marble with purple veins that interweave in a play of forms and hues.
Finally, the Diamond series is complemented by the Cristallo Macchia Vecchia shade, now available in a Natural finish.
